IBADAT- Love Reincarnated PART 4

IBADAT
Love Reincarnated

PART 4

Because... because I love you. Maan’s head shot up n their eyes met for the first time. Her hazels were mesmerizing n he almost forgot to blink.

Ankhon se ankhen mili, dhadkan ne dhadkan ko chua
Jo aaj inn labo ne kaha wo hai barso se iss dil ki dua

She kept her hand on her over active mouth when she realised what she had actually blurted out. Wo... wo... She didn’t know how to cover up. At last she took in a deep breath finding no escape.

Yes it is true. I don’t know how people do it but I couldn’t have hid it for long. She tried to explain. Jaldi hi sach samne aa jata that I love you.

Maan stared at her blankly. When he was successful he heard the phrase plenty of time but the truth was no one loved him. He was an unfortunate man for there was no one for him. He was destined to live alone then someday die alone as well.

She must be one of the girls who had a crush on him after seeing him on TV or magazine. He smiled sadly while his eyes brimmed with tears.

Geet observed him with the great concentration. She noticed his sad smile which conveyed disappointment n self mockery. Her heart tightened when she the watery coating in his eyes. Why was he so sad? She was reason for it, the thought pained her least she knew his past was the reason for his suffering.

Kyu hai tere chehre pe yeh dukh ka saaya,
Aaj nazaro se yeh ansu beh jaane de,
Inme basne ka haq hai sirf mera.

Maan got a grip of himself. Go to Adi. He will give you the job if you are good for KC.

Maan had become like this, he never decided anything on his own, leaving it for others, like all his capabilities to think rationally were gone. He believed that what he thought n does was always wrong n he became dependent on others for almost everything.

Geet, Pinky told me about you. Give me your file. Adi demanded.

Geet gave him her file. You know we have just recru... his voice got struck when he read through her certificates n mark sheets. My my... Why are you here?

He asked amused. No good candidates had applied considering the poor condition of KC so they had to choose from the available bunch only n here she was.. a real gem so his question was pretty obvious.

Geet couldn’t have told him that she loved their CEO as the previous reaction to her confession was not so pleasing.

Ahem... My uncle worked for KC n it was his last wish that I work here as he himself didn’t had any children. She smiled nervously, praying that she sounded convincing.

Adi was not at all bothered by her reason for joining n all. He was happy that KC was getting something good after long.

Well you are appointed Geet. Welcome to Khurana Constructions.

Thank you so much Adi Sir. Geet said delighted, finally something good happened today.

Waise Shasha would have taken your interview as she is head architect but right now she out of town. Adi informed. Anyways you will be working under her n you can join from tomorrow.

Geet left from there but not before glancing towards his cabin. Through the window she saw him spinning the paper weight on the table n he was looking absent n gloomy like always. But why? The question was constantly lingering in her brain. She didn’t know the reason now but vowed to find out soon.

Pinky Pinky Pinky.... I got the job. Geet shouted on reaching home.

Kya baat kar rai hai? Pinky asked not believing her ears.

Aisa ho sakta hai ke Geet Handa ko job na mile. She said raising her invisible collar. Waise bhi Babaji hamesha pyaar karne walo ka saath dete hai.

Pinky rolled her eyes. Uff tu aur tera pyaar by the way ab toh treat banti hai.

Sure darling but pehle ghar pe toh breaking news bata du.

Geet called her home n told them about the job. They made a lot of fuss specially Daarji. They wanted to know what was the need to work to which she simply said she wanted to use her degree n gain some experience. After a lot of cajoling her family finally agreed, accepting their defeat n gave her the permission to work but not on a permanent basis.

Geet n Pinky celebrated by ordering pizza n watching movie n when Geet hit the bed she was hell tired. The day was quite eventful, she always knew everything would change once she’ll meet her special one but experiencing it for real was totally different.

Though his reaction to her confession was not so good but she decided to give him time n eventually win him over, for now she was happy that her wait was over, she was one of those lucky person who found their love.

She could have thought of him the entire night but tomorrow was her 1st day in office, her 1st day with him. So giving a break to her thoughts she drifted to sleep, only to meet him in the dream world.

IBADAT- Love Reincarnated, PART 3

IBADAT
Love Reincarnated

PART 3

God please give this girl some brain. Pinky said throwing her hands up.

They were back home n were discussing the same topic since last 30 mins, well more like Pinky shouting n Geet not paying any heed.

Pinky please don’t over react. Geet said. Kher tu chod. You won’t understand.

Yeah Yeah I won’t understand being a normal human being with normal mind. How can I understand the Oh-so-great Geet Handa? Well what do you think that your family will agree about you working here when your papaji has his own business. You don’t even know if that damn Khurana Construction has a vacancy n even if they have, just suppose. You are going to work there? That company is drowning there is nothing left. That KM is a shit now n you the topper of that London whatever university is going to do your first job in that black hole. Pinky finished taking a deep breath.

Geet kept gawking at her with an amused expression as if Pinky was some animal in zoo. Am I a Gorilla? Pinky flared.

No baby bear. She chuckled but controlled herself upon seeing a flaming Pinky. I mean with that round tummy of yours.

Okay, why are you making it so big? Geet said as if it was all so simple.

You sound insane. You know that?

Darling let me explain. I can’t work with papaji cause he has a cement company, if you remember n what am I? I am an architect. Yeah I know architects n cement does have a connection but I, of course can’t work there. She said with a grin. Now coming to convincing everyone, that’s easy I won’t go home n will tell them that I am going to work here. There is nothing much they could do when their daughter pleads. She made a puppy face.

Last but certainly not the least. KC... If it’s not in a good position, it doesn’t mean I will him leave alone. He needs my help, I can feel it. She said with determination, suddenly becoming serious. KC was good before then it crashed down n now I will help him build it up again.

N with the vacancy thing you are going to help. Right? Geet asked looking straight in Pinky’s eyes with loads of expectations.

Hmm... Pinky released a sigh. I have a friend working in KC. She said not having much of an option when her cousin was mad.

Thank you sooooo much. Geet gave her a big hug to which she just shook her head.

Accha chal ab mujhe unke bare me bata. Geet asked jumping on bed n pulling Pinky beside her.

Unke kinke??

Maan ke... She said blushing crimson as if her marriage had just been fixed with him.

Pinky rolled her eyes. Well he has looks to die for as you have seen n credit to that everyone calls him Dhak Dhak aka DD here. Everything was good he was there on all business magazine covers. He was new n was doing good, KC was doing good, but then things changed. Geet frowned. Two months ago his parents died in an accident n now KC’s shares are all time low, they are highly indebted n everything is down down down... Geet’s face dropped at this thinking he was going through so much. N you know what Geet rumours were there that he loved a girl but she left him.

That hit her hard. He loved someone but how can that be. He was hers then... him loving someone else was impossible. She somehow pacified herself n looked at Pinky, ignoring the pain n deciding to think positive.

Sirf rumour thy na. Geet said. Now call your friend.

Geet passed her the phone n Pinky dialled Adi’s number.

He says there was vacancy but they hired some people few days ago. Sorry bad luck. Pinky gave her a sad look but inside was happy may be this news would make Geet get over her madness.

No worries, tomorrow I will go to KC. I won’t give up without trying. She said.

Gosh.... She has lost it completely. Pinky thought losing all hope.

Sir there is a girl outside wanting to meet you. Pari, Maan’s secretary informed, breaking his chain of thoughts.

Hmm... He looked up. Huh? Pardon.

Sir there is a girl outside. She is saying she won’t leave without meeting you.

Ooh! Send her in. He shrugged, it was not like he was busy or something.

Geet felt so happy that he decided to meet her. She stood outside his cabin n glanced down at herself. It took her ages to select this white salwar suit. It was the first time they would meet n there was a strange churning in her stomach. Taking a deep breath she knocked the door.

Come in. Maan said on hearing the faint knock.

The door cracked open n he saw a beautiful young girl enter his cabin. Her eyes were downcast n she was looking absolutely angelic in her white salwar suit, simple, sober n fresh like early sun rays.

She walked forward n could swear she never felt this nervous n excited, both at the same time, not even at the time of her boards.

Sit... She followed his instruction. So Ms...

Geet... Geet Handa. She offered.

So Ms. Geet Handa why are you here? She held her breath at that moment her name slipped from his tongue. It sounded so different, so real n she never knew her name was so beautiful.

I want to work in KC as an architect. She answered composing herself, still not looking at him as she was feeling really shy which he found rather odd.

Hmm... Ms. Handa...

Geet, I’ll be obliged if you could call me Geet. She demanded while he thought that this girl was indeed odd n weird.

It doesn’t matter what I call you. The point here is that KC doesn’t have a vacancy for an architect at this moment. He told her directly.

To say she was desperate wouldn’t be wrong. She wanted this job at any cost n was not ready to give up. Please don’t say like that. Make me junior architect or junior-junior architect but please hire me. See I am in real need of money n I live alone here. She lied, shooting a quick sorry to her babaji.

KC itself is in dire need of help we can’t hire unwanted staff. So tell me why we give you this job? Maan asked, his eyes scanning some random pages of a file.

Because.... She looked here n there. What should she answer? She couldn’t claim that she was better than his present staff n KC didn’t had a vacancy. But she didn’t wanted to lose this opportunity either it was her only chance to be near him n in her edginess she blurted whatever was there in her mind. Because... because I love you.
